WP Blog Setup

The foundation your blog needs before a single post goes live

A blog built on the wrong theme, with no category plan, and plugins left on default settings will slow you down for months. We build the technical and structural foundation first, so every post you publish afterward has somewhere solid to live.

Who this is for

First-time site owners launching a blog for the first time and starting from zero, no existing site, no prior WordPress experience required on your end.

Agencies and freelancers who need client blogs stood up quickly and correctly, without babysitting the technical setup themselves.

Business owners replacing an outdated site who need a fresh WordPress build rather than patching an old, slow, or poorly structured one.

What’s included

Theme and page builder setup: We install and configure a theme suited to your goals (commonly Astra or GeneratePress) along with a page builder like Elementor, matched to your brand.

Site structure and navigation: Category structure, menu layout, and page hierarchy get planned before any content goes live, so the blog is organized for readers and search engines from day one.

Core pages: Home, About, Contact, and Blog pages are built and connected properly, with your Blog page correctly configured under Settings so posts display as intended.

Performance and technical setup: Caching, image optimization, and basic speed configuration are handled during setup. Essential plugins are installed and configured: SEO, security, backups, and caching, none left on default settings.

SEO foundation: XML sitemap, meta title and description templates, and clean permalink structure are set up before your first post goes live.

Starter content: Depending on your package, we will write and publish your first set of content pieces as part of setup, so the blog launches with something already on it.

What this service covers

This is the build phase: getting the site structured, configured, and technically ready to publish. It’s a one-time setup, not an ongoing engagement.

Writing new articles after launch falls under a separate service, as does mapping out what to write and in what order. Once your blog is live, those become the next steps.

How it works

  1. Discovery. We learn your business, your audience, and what the blog needs to accomplish.
  2. Planning. Categories, page structure, and navigation get mapped out before any building starts.
  3. Build. Theme, page builder, plugins, and core pages are set up and configured.
  4. Technical checks. Speed, SEO foundation, and mobile responsiveness are tested before launch.
  5. Handoff. You get a walkthrough of your new site, login access, and basic usage guidance.
